i_Tech Privacy Principles for Client Banks
Protecting the privacy of your financial institution’s information at i_Tech has
always been one of our most important responsibilities. We have safeguarded your
privacy for many years by maintaining standards and procedures designed to
prevent misuse of this information. To maintain these high standards, we
subscribe to the following Privacy Principles.
Recognition of a Customer's Expectation of Privacy
We recognize that you expect privacy and security for your institution’s
financial information. Protecting your privacy, along with your financial
assets, is at the core of our business. You have chosen to do business with us
and we understand the need to keep sensitive information that you provide to us
secure and confidential. You can be sure that we maintain the highest standards
designed to protect your financial information.
Use, Collection, and Retention of Customer Information
We collect, retain, and use information about your clients only for the purposes
to serve your financial processing needs.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
We subscribe to and comply with all government regulations relating to the
Banking industry. This compliance includes maintaining a security program to
protect your information, as well as safeguard the privacy of your customer’s
financial information. We comply with all articles of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act.
Limiting Employee Access to Information
Keeping your financial information secure is one of our most important
responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your information with care. Our
employees' access to customer information is authorized for business purposes
only and is based on the employees’ need to know such information about your
client’s accounts. This access is controlled by your financial institution’s
Security Officer. We educate our employees about the importance of
confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures, and
special training programs. We take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce
employee privacy responsibilities.
Protection of Information via Established Security
Procedures
We maintain security standards and procedures to help us protect you from
unauthorized access to confidential information. We update and test our
technology to improve the protection of our information about you and to assure
the integrity of our information.
Restrictions on Disclosing Information to Parties
Outside Our Affiliated Banks and Companies
We do not reveal confidential information about your financial institution or
your client’s accounts to parties outside your financial institution unless: (1)
an individual, with proper authority, from your financial institution requests
or authorizes it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a service
initiated by your bank; or (3) we are legally required or permitted to do so.
Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships
with Third Parties
Sometimes it is necessary to provide personally identifiable information about
your clients to a third party, such as to a vendor or service company that we
hire to provide support or services for one or more of our products. We are very
selective in choosing these vendors and service companies. When we enter into
these relationships, we require them to adhere to the same strict standards
regarding the security and confidentiality of customer information as we do.
They cannot release or use your information for their own purposes or sell or
release your information to any third party.
Disclosure of Our Privacy Principles to You
We want you to understand our commitment to privacy and how we use information.
Because of this commitment, we have prepared these Privacy Principles.
